Who’s behind Plantcaria
Three people who really kill, revive and care for plants — and write about what they learn.
VicenteFounder · outdoor plants & gardenVicente founded Plantcaria with one fixed idea: that no one should throw a plant away over bad advice. A 29-year-old engineer, he grew up surrounded by plants and dug deep into their care when he adopted his two cats and had to learn to tell the pretty from the toxic. The outdoors is his thing: a full balcony, pots in the sun and hands in the soil of the kitchen garden.LauraIndoor plants & flowersLaura lives among indoor plants and impossibly colorful flowers. It didn’t always go well: she lost a few before learning to read the warning signs in time, and now she leans on Plantcaria’s AI diagnosis so she never catches a problem too late. She writes about what actually works indoors: light, the right amount of water, and plants that bloom even when your flat is no greenhouse.CarlosTropical & carnivorous plantsCarlos is the happily obsessed fan of tropicals and carnivorous plants. He hunts down exotic species, acclimatizes them in his garden patch and enjoys the little ecosystem he builds around them as much as the plant itself. If there’s a giant leaf, a trap that snaps shut or a rare, hard-to-find species, he’s there taking notes to tell you about it.
